This Privacy Policy explains how Speakori ("Speakori," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the Speakori website, applications, educational platform, and related services (the "Platform").
Speakori is an educational software platform designed to help users practice and develop Spanish communication skills for professional contexts.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide, including your name, email address, account credentials, profile information, organization or employer, onboarding responses, support communications, feedback, feature requests, surveys, and bug reports.
We collect educational activity information, including lessons started or completed, learning progress, practice history, review history, practice outcomes, review outcomes, educational interactions, exercise responses, feedback history, spaced-review scheduling information, preferences, and learning settings. We use this information to operate the Platform, maintain progress, provide review scheduling, personalize learning, improve instructional content, and evaluate platform performance.
Educational information maintained by Speakori is intended solely to support operation of the Platform. It is not intended to constitute an official educational transcript, certification, professional evaluation, employment record, or proof of competency.
We may automatically collect technical information, including IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, pages visited, referring pages, timestamps, session information, diagnostic information, performance information, security logs, and error reports.
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to authenticate users, maintain secure sessions, remember preferences, improve performance, protect security, and understand general platform usage. You may control certain cookies through your browser settings, although disabling cookies may affect the Platform.
How We Use Information
We may use information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Platform; authenticate users; provide educational content and features; personalize learning experiences; maintain learning progress and review scheduling; respond to support requests; communicate with users; monitor performance; detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or violations of our Terms; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our agreements.
Speakori may create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify individual users and may use it to improve the Platform, evaluate educational effectiveness, develop instructional content, conduct internal research, and analyze performance.
Artificial Intelligence, Audio, and Automated Technologies
Speakori may use artificial intelligence or automated technologies to create, review, organize, enhance, or present educational materials and to provide certain educational features.
If Speakori offers AI-powered, speech synthesis, speech recognition, audio, or similar features, information submitted to or processed by those features may be handled by Speakori or trusted service providers solely as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Platform.
Speakori does not use user personal information or user-submitted content to train third-party AI models unless expressly disclosed to users or permitted under applicable law and applicable agreements.
Information We Share
We do not sell users' personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Platform, including providers of cloud hosting, authentication, database infrastructure, payment processing, customer support, analytics, email delivery, infrastructure monitoring, speech recognition, speech synthesis, educational technology, artificial intelligence services, and security services.
We may also disclose information to comply with law or legal process; respond to lawful governmental requests; protect the rights, property, safety, security, or integrity of Speakori, users, or others; investigate fraud, abuse, or Terms violations; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
User Content
If Speakori permits users to submit messages, documents, audio, images, or other materials, users retain ownership of their content. Users grant Speakori the limited rights necessary to host, process, store, transmit, display, reproduce, and otherwise use submitted content solely to operate, secure, maintain, improve, and provide the Platform.
Users should not upload confidential, privileged, sensitive, personally identifying, client-related, or third-party information unless Speakori expressly permits such submissions and users are authorized to provide that information.
Enterprise Accounts
If Speakori is provided through an employer, educational institution, nonprofit organization, government agency, law firm, interpreter agency, or other organization, certain account information or educational activity may be available to that organization as described in the applicable enterprise agreement.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Platform, maintain user accounts, preserve educational progress, provide review scheduling, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect security, and enforce agreements.
Users may request deletion of their accounts, subject to applicable legal obligations and legitimate business requirements. Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement of agreements.
Security
Speakori uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and should promptly notify Speakori of suspected unauthorized access.
Children's Privacy
Speakori is intended for adults and professional learners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
International Users
If you access Speakori from outside the country in which our services are operated, your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
